Our Mission

Since 1982, the Eberly Center's mission has been to improve the quality of education at Carnegie Mellon by providing teaching support to faculty and graduate students. We collaborate with our colleagues to help them understand and improve their students' learning. To accomplish this, we use a research-based approach that involves gathering and analyzing faculty and students' practices and perspectives, applying state-of-the-art research on learning and instruction, and conducting original research where gaps in the literature exist.
