The Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) has developed career assignments that can be easily integrated into any course at CMU. Networking is essential to any job / internship search.  The three documents below introduce informational interviews, offer structured practice in identifying and appropriately contacting networking connections, and guide students in conducting effective informational interviews.

Effective interview preparation is imperative for students in both the internship and job search process.  The below guide introduces interviewing preparation and best practices, and the associated assignment provides three specific practice/mock interviews via CMU’s online interview practice platform called Big Interview.
