Bio

Jessica Bowser Acrie joined the Master of Arts Management team at Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 as associate director of career services, where she played a critical role in the program’s efforts in career advising, alumni engagement, and employer and industry relations.  She now serves as the MAM Program Director.

Jessica brings over 20 years of professional arts management experience to her position. She worked as a box office manager for NYC’s famed Roundabout Theatre Company, where she coordinated ticket sales for nine seasons of theatrical productions.  She was a founding member and director of external affairs of Confluence Theatre Company (CTC), an Off-Off Broadway theatre company dedicated to developing and producing multimedia theatre. She also served as the manager of individual giving at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, where she oversaw the Annual Fund Campaign, developed and launched a donor engagement program, and served as the project coordinator for the Association for Children’s Museums’ 2013 National Conference. She also served as Program Coordinator for the art therapy and authentic leadership programs at Naropa University’s School of Extended Studies in Boulder, CO. An active community leader, Jessica has also served on the board of Radiant Hall, an artist studio space collective, and the Highland Park Community Council.

Jessica received her MAM degree from Carnegie Mellon University and her BFA in Theatre Arts from Point Park University. As an artist, Jessica is the author of several plays including It’s About Time, which ran Off-Off Broadway at The Chocolate Factory in New York City. She developed and produced new work in NYC for a variety of companies including serving as the Assistant to the Artistic Director and Lead Producer at the Williamstown Theatre Festival where she line-produced a series of 4 workshop production including work from Tony Award winning and nominated artists.
