Bio

Matthew Krause comes to us from DePaul University in Chicago, where he was director of Business and Administration for the University Libraries. He brings to CFA 14 years of finance and operations management experience, including work at The Theatre School at DePaul and the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern.

Matt earned his undergraduate degree in music education from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. He earned his MBA with a finance concentration from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul. Before his work in higher education, Matt was a Chicago actor appearing at Court, TimeLine, Goodman, Steppenwolf and Northlight Theatres, as well as premiering several roles in Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Beyond the Score series.

"I am excited to join Carnegie Mellon and, specifically, the College of Fine Arts," Matt said. "Having been immersed in the arts from an early age, I am delighted to join an institution that engages students in such innovative, inclusive and interdisciplinary work."
