Projector and Interface Upgrades in DH 4201

The digital projector in DH 4201 has been upgraded. In order to facilitate this upgrade, the transcievers had to be upgraded to HDMI. The HDMI interface replaces the former VGA interface that had been there for several years. All modern laptops have a digital video output. This digital video out may come in the form of Display Port, Mini-Display Port or HDMI (There are other options but they are very rarely used). Adapters have been provided at the podium for the various connections. PLEASE leave adapters at the podium. Adapters will be tethered to main cable as soon as the tether kits arrive. Additional adapters are available in the Self-Serve Kiosk located outside our office door.

Anyone using a laptop without a digital out will need a vga-to-HDMI scaler which we do not provide. (This would be a laptop 8+ years old).

Questions about the new system should be directed to the ChemE Helpdesk. The new projector is FullHD (1920x1080) and about 33% brighter then the old one.
