Bio

In his role as Assistant Vice Provost, Associate Dean and Executive Director of Admission, Greg Edleman is responsible for leading the undergraduate admission team in their efforts to recruit and enroll a first-year class for Carnegie Mellon University.

Carnegie Mellon’s innovative approach towards first year admission allows Greg and his team to work with prospective students throughout the enrollment funnel. In this capacity, Greg oversees not only the recruitment efforts but is also directly involved with the strategy development for first-year financial aid as well as the creation on an innovative marketing and communication effort focused on access and belonging. With a passion for the issues impacting college admission and higher education, Greg and his team are excited to work with students from around the world who see Carnegie Mellon as an important step in their journey to positively impacting the world.

Greg has been with Carnegie Mellon’s Office of Admission since 2002. During that time, he has been involved with all parts and at all levels of the admission operation. A passionate traveler, he has been to 45 states and over 40 countries while recruiting students for Carnegie Mellon.

A graduate of St. Vincent College (B.A., History and Minor in Secondary Education) and Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College (MPM), Greg lives in the North Hills with his wife Leigh, his two kids Oscar and Matilda, and their dog, Mickey Knuckles.
