Roger Turner
Coordinator, Global Strategic Initiatives and Institutional Accreditation

Roger Turner joined CMU in 2023 as the coordinator for the GSIIA office. In this role, Turner brings a passion for providing a welcoming environment, careful attention to detail, and his experience complying with federal and state regulations. Prior to CMU, he worked at Hagerstown Community College in Maryland in the Adult Literacy Program as an ESL career training specialist, where he led the development of Western Maryland's first healthcare career training program for English learners, a highly successful job placement initiative that served as an exemplar for similar programs across the state. The adult literacy program served students from countries as diverse as Ghana, Afghanistan, and Venezuela. 

Turner has a professional background in student services, data and records management, language learning and the hospitality industry in Europe. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California Santa Cruz. He speaks French and Spanish, studies history and philosophy and is an avid cyclist.
