Annual Giving Header

As parents of alumni, you have made significant investments in your loved one’s education. And as time goes on, you can continue to make a positive impact on the value of their degree by making a financial contribution to Carnegie Mellon.

The university’s approach to interdisciplinary teaching and research creates graduates who are uniquely prepared for the challenges that await them in their chosen career fields. Gifts from parents play a key role in allowing Carnegie Mellon to maintain and enhance this high caliber of education. In fact, the university depends on annual gifts to make up the difference that tuition and the endowment simply cannot fully cover in the full cost of educating our children. For our graduates, annual giving rates can even have an impact on the university’s rankings.

Recently, Charity Navigator gave Carnegie Mellon its highest rating for organizational efficiency. This means that your philanthropic support will have an immediate impact on today’s students and provide a long-lasting return by enhancing the value of a Carnegie Mellon degree.

As fellow parents, we encourage you to make an additional investment in Carnegie Mellon by making a gift to an area of campus that is important to you and your family. If you have already made your gift this year, we thank you for your generosity. If you have not, then we encourage you to please give today.

Currently, parents have contributed nearly $300,000 towards the $600,000 annual goal. With your help, we can reach our target, and help our children reach their goals and aspirations.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
