Annual Giving Header

The School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon has made countless contributions to the field of computer science throughout our history. And increasingly, we find ourselves expanding the boundaries of computing and having a growing influence on many other areas of research. We use our unique Carnegie Mellon computer science way of looking at the world to address problems in other disciplines. Most recently, these efforts can be seen in areas like quality of life and scientific discovery itself.

But the financial support of alumni like you is what makes these things possible. If you have already made your gift this year, I thank you for your generosity. If you have not, then I encourage you to please give to the School of Computer Science.

There are several priorities on which you can make an immediate impact, including the new SCS Complex, student scholarships, and the Dean’s Innovation Fund. This is an important time in our history, based on both our aggressive trajectory and the level of federal funding for basic research, which is at its lowest point in years. Gifts at all levels help us sustain and build our programs.

We remain committed to our mission of excellence and world leadership in education and research. Your support of the School of Computer Science allows us to continue along this path, building upon our history and momentum.

We look forward to your participation and support.

Sincerely,
