Ben graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, and minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. Before joining the MSCF program he was an undergraduate researcher at the Darla Moore School of Business, analyzing Momentum and the reversals that proceed it. He also completed an internship at Bank of America where he worked on the Pricing Strategy team as a Quantitative Analyst. In this role he was responsible for rebuilding their loan pricing software, and performing data analysis on the bank's new originations and repricings. Additionally, Ben loves competing in quantitative finance and hedge fund competitions. To date he has finished 7 such contests, winning cash prizes on three occasions. He joined the MSCF program to advance his understanding of the financial engineering of derivative products and time-series modeling. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a career in quantitative research or quantitative trading
