Carnegie Mellon University's 2021 Homecoming brought Tartans past and present home to watch CMU defeat Washington & Jefferson College 27-11. Community members were invited to tailgate and participate in a myriad of activities, including student-led performances, pumpkin carving, food trucks, inflatables and more. Paul Gerlach, who recently retired after 38 years as director of the Kiltie Band, was honored during the game's coin toss and given a chair at halftime. And the weather was perfect for Buggy's Mini Raceday, which saw teams compete in a special Homecoming race.
