Kelly Martin

Bio

Kelly Martin is a post-doc in the Behrmann Lab at the University of Pittsburgh, and is co-mentored by Drs. Marlene Behrmann (Pitt) and David Plaut (CMU). She earned her PhD in Neuroscience from Georgetown University in 2022 and her BA in Neuroscience from Boston University in 2014. Dr. Martin's research in the Behrmann Lab examines principles of human brain organization and plasticity during healthy development and after early life injury. Her research combines neuroimaging and computational modeling to study the cortical organization of language processing, and what alternative patterns of organization may emerge in the presence of early life injury or disorder (specifically, epilepsy and cortical transections). In her free time Kelly enjoys playing and watching soccer.
