Parking Changes: What to expect when you come to campus!

As many of you have already noticed, the university has implemented new gates and payment kiosks in all of their parking venues on campus. With this new technology, the Transportation office has also inplemented new policies to enhance the parking experience on campus.

Here are the new policies that will have the most effect on our community's visit to campus:

• All vehicles must now park “head in” in CMU garages/lots (i.e., pull forward into the spot so that your rear license plate is still visible) to allow their new license plate recognition software to monitor the vehicles in the garages/lots.
• Parking Garage payment kiosks are now CREDIT CARD ONLY. 
• Non-leaseholders must park on the second floor of the East Campus Garage.

These policies have already gone into effect. Please be mindful of these changes as you plan for your Fall registrations.
