By Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy

Pittsburgh, PA, May 28, 2024 – The Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy (CMRA) is delighted to announce a new partnership with the International School of Panama (ISP). As the demand for Robotics, Computer Science, and STEM subjects continues to grow, this collaboration aims to bolster ISP's ability to deliver cutting-edge educational content and inspire the next generation of innovators.

Through this partnership, CMRA will provide ISP with comprehensive training for their staff, ongoing support, and access to our research-based curriculum and certifications. ISP will have the opportunity to leverage physical robotics kits alongside CMRA’s materials or utilize our virtual-enabled options, ensuring flexible and effective STEM education for their students.

"We're thrilled to partner with CMRA," said William Hatcher, International School of Panama. "This partnership allows us to leverage their world class curriculum and expertise to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers right here in Panama."

"For a school like ISP, constantly looking to push the boundaries of innovation in education, the CMRA partnership is invaluable," Hatcher continued. "Their programs perfectly complement our focus on providing students with critical 21st-century skills like coding, computational thinking, and creative problem-solving to equip students for the future."

Jesse Flot, Co-Director of the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy, shared enthusiasm for the partnership. "We are excited to collaborate with the International School of Panama. Their commitment to advancing STEM education aligns perfectly with our mission to empower educators and inspire students globally. Together, we can create impactful learning experiences that prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow."

As part of this collaboration, ISP will implement CMRA’s internationally-recognized curriculum, designed to foster a deep understanding of robotics and computational thinking. This initiative will not only enhance ISP’s educational offerings but also provide students with valuable skills that are essential in today’s technology-driven world.

CMRA partners with international educational providers to ensure their ability to deliver high-quality STEM education. Our partners receive comprehensive training, ongoing support, and authorized use of our curriculum and certifications. Providers can choose to utilize physical robotics kits or our virtual-enabled options to meet their unique needs. All international engagements are screened and reviewed by Carnegie Mellon University prior to approval.
