I began my career at CMU in 2021 and I support our library staff by enhancing their skills through coordinating workshops, training sessions, and learning experiences to keep them informed about industry trends. Additionally, I facilitate the smooth onboarding of new library employees. To strengthen our team, I actively participate in recruitment efforts, assisting with job postings, candidate evaluations, and interviews. Lastly, I foster staff engagement by developing initiatives, organizing events, and implementing programs that contribute to a positive and fulfilling work environment at the library.

During my term, I would like to see Staff Council continue to be a powerful voice for all staff. Together we can create a workplace that fosters community and belonging. I look forward to understanding how the workplace functions and decisions are made and pushing for meaningful changes. By actively connecting across departments and keeping staff informed about council activities and progress, I'll build stronger relationships between staff council and everyone on campus.

People would find surprising about me is that I host a holiday scavenger hunt every year in December. It started a few years ago with 12 friends and has grown into a community event that includes sponsors and huge donations to charity!
