Mac Systems Administrator, Software Engineering Institute - OCOS CIO IT

I began my career at CMU in 2020 and in my current role as a Mac Systems Administrator, I oversee and manage the lifecycle for all things Mac, from ensuring new OS releases are ready to go and thoroughly tested in our environment, to deploying and managing our baseline settings for both compliance and ease of use, implementing robust automations, and enabling the incredibly cool workflows that happen here at the SEI behind a Mac! It’s quite literally a childhood dream job for me, I’ve been tinkering with Macs for as long as I can remember and have loved seeing the shear innovation and collaboration that takes place at CMU. My favorite thing about the SEI is all of the incredible staff members willing to share their wealth of knowledge across the org, the rapid pace of innovation, and the opportunity to explore and implement cutting-edge technologies.

During my term, I would like to see Staff Council highlight the vast resources we gain access to through the CMU Community, increase engagement with local organizations, and showcase the incredible people that make up CMU!

Fun Fact: My first two high school internships were with CMU spin-offs through Project Olympus! I also participated in the student-ran CMU Project Ignite Program during my senior year of high school exploring interactive AR artwork and how technology can be used to build sustainable habits
