2023 Steinbrenner Institute Sustainability Symposium

The Steinbrenner Institute for Environmental Education and Research will be hosting its annual Sustainability Symposium on Friday, March 17th from 11am-12pm at the Bosch Spark Conference Room (Scott Hall 5201). The symposium is an opportunity for students to showcase projects and research they have worked on or are currently working on which relate to sustainability in some way.

Students across all schools and colleges at Carnegie Mellon University are eligible to sign up. Projects are usually presented through posters, but there are no hard guidelines for projects—they can be of any form. Students will be set up to present for the entire duration of the event, unless their project is performance-based, time sensitive, etc.

There will be a judging panel present to help determine winners of our two $1,500 Travel Award prizes. The travel awards are meant to help students to attend and participate in conferences, workshops, etc. that advance their research. Lunch will be provided as well (bring your own plates and cutlery).

The deadline to sign up has passed. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Kathy Zhang.
