In the Department of Statistics & Data Science, we prioritize experiential learning to bridge theory with real-world application. Our ‘Capstone Project’ is a cornerstone of our educational programs, providing hands-on experience in solving practical challenges.
As a capstone sponsor, you’ll tap into the expertise of teams of undergraduate and/or graduate students with guidance from our world-renowned faculty. They’ll tackle your real-world challenges using cutting-edge data science pipelines and statistical methodology

Sponsor Summer Research Experiences
Our in-person summer programs offer invaluable hands-on experience, enabling students from around the country to work with real data on real-world problems in a stimulating, collaborative, and supportive environment.
We offer three distinct programs throughout the summer. Two are for college students, one specializing in Sports Analytics and the other in Healthcare Technology. Additionally, we provide a free week-long camp for high school students, introducing them to statistics and data science, and exploring exciting career opportunities.
