Almost There!

Posner Hall is home to the Tepper School of Business and is currently ranked among the country's top 10 business schools. The building itself houses classrooms, lecture halls, an art gallery and Ginger's Deli, a very popular lunch or dinner spot.

Crossing Tech Street, we'll walk to Skibo Gymnasium, better known as the "old gym," being around since 1924. It contains basketball and racquetball courts, exercise equipment, a weight room and fencing facilities, plus the offices of the Athletic Department and intramurals. Carnegie Mellon men and women compete at the NCAA's Division III level. There are 17 varsity sports including football, basketball, track and field, cross country, swimming, soccer, tennis, golf and volleyball. Students can also compete in sports at the club and intramural levels. Eighty percent of all students take part in a club or intramural sport before they graduate.

To our left after crossing Tech Street is Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall, named after Andrew Carnegie's mother and originally housed a vocational school for women in 1907. Let's go inside. Today, it is home to classrooms, studios and labs for the Schools of Architecture, Design, Drama and Music, as well as the Carnegie Mellon Children's School. Scenes from the movies "Flashdance" and "Creepshow" were filmed inside Margaret Morrison. Notice the spectacular rotunda that was recently refurbished.

Let's exit the building, walk toward Gesling Stadium, and head on into the University Center!
