Medical Billing

If you are enrolled in the SHIP and receive care at UHS, many of the fees for our services will be covered by the plan.

If you have outside insurance and receive care at UHS, you will need to submit an itemized statement (available in HealthConnect) to your insurance company for reimbursement. You should call the member services phone number on the back of your insurance card for further instructions on how to submit your claim.

If you see a provider, need testing, or have a hospital visit outside of UHS, you may receive a bill. If you have the SHIP, we strongly encourage you to register with Highmark, where you can track your medical claims and access your Explanations of Benefits
