Cinco de Mayo

Graphic with colorful papel picado banners and text that reads Cinco de Mayo Mexico

Saturday is Cinco de Mayo, a day of remembrance for the Battle of Puebla, though, in the U.S., the day has become a commercialized holiday. Before you join in any festivities, we encourage everyone to take time to learn a little more about the history of the holiday with this article written by CMU community members. CMU is proud of our diverse Latine community on campus, in Pittsburgh and beyond!

Residence Halls Close

All residence halls close at noon on Wednesday, May 8, for all residents not approved for summer housing. For more information about spring move-out, check out Student Affair's tips, and if you have questions, contact housing@andrew.cmu.edu. Remember your "off-campus residence" address must be your current U.S. residential address, so if your living situation will change for the summer you will need to update your information in SIO. Be sure to review out our information about maintaining your legal status on our website for more information.
