Donate to Osher at CMU

As a non-profit, we are thankful for donations that leave lasting effects on our community and allow our program to continue running each year. There are a few different ways that you can donate to Osher at CMU.

Donations through the Registration Website

From the toolbar above, click on "Member Sign In." Use your Username and Password to login. From the toolbar, click on donate and it will take you to the donation page. Once you're done, click on the green Checkout button to process payment. This can be completed during registration for courses or as its own transaction.

Donations through an IRA

Naming the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Carnegie Mellon University as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, life insurance policy, or brokerage account is a very generous way to make a legacy gift to Osher "outside" of your will. Like a bequest, these gifts help ensure the future of providing a lifetime of education to other likeminded people, such as yourself.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Carnegie Mellon University is registered as a charitable organization, 501(c)3, with the IRS.  We are a completely separate legal entity from Carnegie Mellon University.  If you would like to download a copy of our most recent Annual Report, please go to our website at cmu.edu/ osher/publications.

To make a legacy gift of all or part of your retirement plan or insurance policy please ask for and complete a change of beneficiary form from your plan or policy administrator.  Please be sure that the gift is directed to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and not to Carnegie Mellon University for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.  For your brokerage account, ask your broker. If you would like, please notify the Osher Executive Director of your intentions.
