That’s What Osher is All About by Jim Reitz
I just finished a 5 week class in Cyert entitled – An Appalachian Overview. It explored the crafts, culture, language and music of Appalachia. We learned how to correctly pronounce the word. It’s said like – I threw an - APPLE-AT-CHA.
For the last class six class members brought their instruments and formed an impromptu band and with no practice accompanied the class as we sang – Take Me Home Mountain Roads. Class members got to know each other. A very good and encouraging instructor – Rebecca Carpenter. Everyone had a GREAT time. That’s what Osher is all about. Come to Cyert and join in the learning and fun.
