Lydia Eckstein joined the Eberly Center in 2024 as a Data Science Research Associate. In this role, she consults with faculty, graduate students, and programs on study design, data collection, and data analysis for educational research projects. 

Lydia holds a B.S. and M.S. in Psychology from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, and a Ph.D. in Experimental Social Psychology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Before joining the Eberly Center, Lydia taught social science courses to high school students and was a tenured faculty member at a small liberal arts college, where she taught Social Psychology, Statistics, and courses on the Psychology of violence and unethical behavior. Lydia is passionate about leveraging insights from research on teaching and learning to enhance the experiences of students and instructors alike.
