By Leah Schoolcraft

The Tepper School of Business is not just shaping future business leaders but also making a significant impact on the local community. The school recently held its second annual Tepper Together Community Service Day at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, demonstrating its commitment to giving back.

The event saw participation across various operating units of the Tepper School, including Executive Education (Exec Ed), Masters Career Center (MCC), Undergraduate (UG) advising, Executive Committee, and Finance to name a few. This diverse group of staff and faculty came together with a common purpose: to serve the community.

The team assisted 87 families, which equates to roughly 200 individuals. They distributed approximately 2,150 lbs. of produce, 2,580 lbs of dry foods, and 344 lbs of frozen goods.

In addition to this, the Tepper School team working in the warehouse alongside other community volunteers bagged an impressive 7,000 lbs of potatoes. This effort not only provided essential food items to those in need but also fostered a sense of unity and shared purpose within the Tepper community.

This event is a testament to Tepper School of Business’s dedication to community service and social responsibility.
