The Tepper School of Business Celebrates Graduates at Commencement Weekend

Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business marked a momentous commencement weekend from May 10-12, celebrating the achievements of nearly 500 graduates. The events showcased the dedication and hard work of students receiving bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.

In addition to participating in the main Carnegie Mellon University commencement event on Sunday, the Tepper School hosted several diploma ceremonies throughout the weekend. These ceremonies provided a personalized celebration for the graduates, acknowledging their individual and collective successes.

A graduating student listened closely as Carnegie Bosch Professor of Operations Research and Senior Associate Dean of Education at the Tepper School of Business, Willem-Jan van Hoeve gave an opening speech at the MBA diploma ceremony on Saturday, May 11.

Dr. Duane Seppi posed with a Ph.D. student at their diploma ceremony on Friday, May 10 in the Simmons auditorium at the Tepper School of Business.

Each diploma ceremony was complemented by a reception, offering graduates, their families, and faculty a wonderful opportunity to mingle and celebrate these significant milestones. These receptions featured speeches from distinguished faculty members and alumni, adding a note of inspiration and reflection to the festivities.

The weekend was not only a celebration of academic achievements but also a time for graduates to look forward to new beginnings and opportunities that lie ahead, with the support and camaraderie of the Tepper School community.
