The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University continues to maintain a strong top 20 ranking, landing No. 18, from No. 16 in 2024 and No. 18 in 2023, in the U.S. News & World Report rankings update for Best Graduate Schools of Business.

For the specialty rankings, the Tepper School surpassed MIT to earn the No. 1 spot for Business Analytics, the first time the school secured this top spot since the specialty ranking was introduced in 2021.

The Tepper School also maintained its No. 2 position in the Project Management, Production-Operations and Information Systems categories.

“Maintaining our position as a top 20 Graduate Business School in the overall U.S. News & World Report rankings is a testament to the Tepper School's continued commitment to excellence in business education,” said Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou, Dean and Richard P. Simmons Professor of Finance, Tepper School of Business. “The high rankings for our specialized programs underscore our innovative and interdisciplinary approach, and we look forward to continuing to build on these achievements to shape the future of business education.”

Back in January, the Tepper School ranked No. 1 in U.S. News & World Report’s Business Analytics Online MBA specialty ranking for the fifth straight year, and No. 3 in the 2025 Online MBA ranking.

U.S. News evaluated online business programs based on a variety of factors, such as student engagement, faculty credentials, and services and technologies offered to students.
