Tepper School to host immersive AI Executive Program in partnership with Kearney
Recognizing the increasing demand for strategic leadership related to artificial intelligence, Carnegie Mellon University and global management consulting partnership Kearney have jointly launched the AI Executive Program.
Hosted by the Tepper School of Business and Kearney, the program aims to equip senior business leaders with the comprehensive tools and insights required to drive effective AI adoption and achieve measurable organizational impact.
"This partnership represents a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between technological innovation and business leadership," said Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou, Dean of the Tepper School. "Together with Kearney, our goal is to empower executives with both the technical fluency and strategic insight needed to lead AI-driven transformation. Through a carefully curated blend of academic insights, immersive experiences, and practical applications, executives will explore how leading organizations leverage AI to reshape traditional business models, accelerate innovation cycles, and drive operational excellence.”
The curriculum features distinguished faculty including Sean Ammirati, Professor of Entrepreneurship; Roni Rosenfeld, Professor of Machine Learning and Computer Science; and Alex John London, K&L Gates Professor of Ethics and Computational Technologies. The program focuses on three key areas:
- Strategic AI Leadership: Developing frameworks for evaluating AI opportunities across business areas and managing organizational change
- Disruptive Value Innovation: Mastering practical approaches for implementing AI initiatives that deliver measurable business impact
- Responsible Transformation: Building accountability systems and human-centric approaches for sustainable AI adoption
"In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, artificial intelligence has moved beyond technological novelty to become a critical driver of competitive advantage," said Ben Smith, Chair, Digital & Analytics, and Member of the Board of Directors at Kearney. "This program fills a crucial gap in executive education by combining academic rigor with practical business application. It takes a unique lens to reengineering the corporation using AI that links how leadership must systematically change to make AI-led disruptions a true driver for business value while navigating complex technological, operational, and ethical considerations."
The program, rotating between Pittsburgh and Dubai, offers executives hands-on workshops, AI Lab site visits showcasing robotics innovation, discussions with AI pioneers, and interactive sessions focused on actionable AI strategies. Participants will utilize the AI Value Catalyst framework for strategic AI implementation and value capture. The inaugural program will be held at the Tepper School from March 10-13, with the second session taking place in Dubai from May 11-14.
