New Remote Parking Permit Options Available for Faculty and Staff

The university continually evaluates our balance of mobility options to help community members commute to, and navigate, our Pittsburgh campus. We are excited to announce two remote parking permit locations now available to CMU faculty and staff:

Bakery Square South Garage
Note: Existing Bakery Square permits have been adjusted to the remote lot pricing structure below. 

• Location: Off-campus, 192 Bakery Square Blvd. (near the intersection of Penn Ave. and East Liberty Blvd.)
• Permit rate:
  – 5 days per week: $90 per month ($120 per month for nine-month faculty)
  – 3 days per week (replaces the previous 12 parks per month): $75 per month ($100 per month for nine-month faculty)
• Features: Serviced by CMU shuttles and Pittsburgh Regional Transit. EV charging available. Learn more about accessing Bakery Square.
  

Hazelwood Green Lot

• Location: Off-campus, 85 Beehive St. (in the Hazelwood Green complex that houses Mill 19 and the Robotics Innovation Center) 
• Permit rate: $90 per month ($120 per month for nine-month faculty)
• Features: Serviced by CMU shuttles and Pittsburgh Regional Transit (with transfers). Learn more about Hazelwood Green.

To request a new parking permit, log into the CMU Parking Portal, select the “Permits” header at the top of the screen, and choose “Get Permits.” Parking permits are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

These changes are part of our ongoing remote parking initiative.
