About Our Club

The CMWA Book Club meets once a month, on the third *Wednesday, from Noon-1:30 p.m. Discussions are informal and lively. If you'd like to attend the Book club, please people email Alice Bright.

Books can be suggested by anyone in the group and the selection is wide-ranging: fiction, nonfiction, new and old. We have a full list of books read by the CMWA Book Club since 1994.

*Exceptions: Club will most likely meet earlier due to the end of year and University holidays.

Anti-Racism Resources

In support of CMWA's ongoing commitment to anti-racism, we invite our community to work together to become empowered and active allies.

Our August 2020 book selection, "How to Be an Anti-Racist" by Ibram X. Kendi, sparked dialogue about our role in a safe, inclusive society and what it means to be anti-racist.

As part of our discussion, our members shared additional resources for further reading and deeper exploration of this topic.
