Network Upgrades for Research and Everyday Use

Computing Services completed several significant updates this summer, which will positively impact your experience using the campus network:

• Upgrades to our Internet2 bandwidth will allow for faster and more reliable internet access and improved performance for data-intensive tasks, research, and collaboration.
• Upgrades to our standard internet service across campus will provide greater connectivity, faster web browsing, and smoother video streaming.
• Switch upgrades in our Data Center will facilitate higher data transfer speeds and faster access to centralized services for campus community members.
• New multi-cloud connectivity will provide streamlined access to public cloud services through Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Cisco Webex (with connection to Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) coming soon).
