Video Production Retention Policy

The following policy applies to all Media Services video productions.

Lecture or Event Recording and Live Broadcast Production

After the delivery of the final video(s), Media Services may:

  • Delete RAW footage and project files after 6 months
  • Host video(s) for 2 full semesters
  • Offer an external hard drive backup of footage and project files for a fee, if requested.

Note: At the producers' request, some RAW footage can be retained for future video projects.

Creative Production

After the delivery of the final video(s), Media Services may:

  • Delete RAW footage and project files after 12 months
  • Host video(s) for 2 full semesters
  • Offer external hard drive backup of footage and project files for a fee, if requested.
  • Retain and archive in the Media Service B-Roll library any supplemental footage (B-Roll) shot, or acquired, for the project, at our discretion.

Note: At the producers' request, some RAW footage may be retained for future video projects.

 

Media Services reserves the right to reuse video material for both the promotion of services and as supporting footage for other video projects (B-Roll). We will retain all materials indefinitely unless technology or costs warrant retention limits.
