A New Hub for Innovation, Learning, and Collaboration

Introducing AI Daily

We’re proud to introduce AI Daily, a platform designed to advance AI literacy and empower the campus community with knowledge, tools, and resources to harness the power of generative AI in everyday life.

Highlights from the GenAI Practical Workshop

Computing Services hosted a workshop in June, which showcased cutting-edge applications of generative AI on campus and demonstrated practical ways to boost productivity.

Researchers Explore Using AI in the Classroom

Can the integration of generative AI into the classroom enhance personalized learning experiences for students? With several initiatives, CMU is at the forefront of this question.

Try Zoom AI Companion

Host more efficient meetings with Zoom AI Companion, an optional feature that generates meeting summaries, lets you catch up if you miss part of the meeting, and organizes your recordings.

Hear from Our Communities

Computing Services engages with the campus through several topic-based communities, helping to connect individuals in similar roles or with similar interests and share updates.

Data Analytics Community of Practice

The Data Access Sharing Hub (DASH) is a valuable tool for sharing data visualizations and reports across different departments at CMU. We’ve updated the interface, helping guide people to the right resources to make well-informed decisions.

Digital Accessibility Office (DAO)

The DAO will offer a series of mini-workshops this fall. The workshops will start in September and will be held every Wednesday at noon for six weeks. Participants will learn about creating accessible videos, documents, websites, and data visualizations. They'll also discover best practices for using colors and working with infographics. Accessibility is a requirement and a responsibility we all share. Feel free to bring your own examples and get ready to participate in these interactive sessions.

Project Management Center of Excellence (PM CoE)

The PM CoE continues to offer project management training for CMU staff. Over 80 people have completed the program, and our fall 2024 cohort is full, with participants from 12 different CMU departments and business units. The PM CoE emphasizes knowledge sharing, practical application, and networking. Visit the PM CoE website for more information and to enroll for the next cohort, which will begin in February 2025.

Change Management Center of Excellence (CM CoE)

Look out for a two-day CM CoE pilot this September. This program aims to highlight the significance of effectively managing change within our organization, introduce change management methodologies, tools, and tactics, and emphasize the human aspect of change. The CM CoE is made possible through a collaboration with change management practitioners from Computing Services, Human Resources, Finance, and Facilities Management and Campus Services. More details will be released in early Fall.
